But then I came across electrolytes as a solution. After much reading on this I decided to look for electrolytes I could easily take just before and during game time. After reading a lot of reviews on different products I went for HIGH5 Energy Gel with Electrolytes. And whilst I have only been using them over the last few weeks, I have noticed a difference. I take one sachet during pre-match warm up before kick off and one at half time. First I have noticed my energy levels are sustained for much longer during a game, and not flagging like before. But importantly I have, as yet, not started to encounter cramping in the calf muscles and have played full games with no issues. Whether that is luck or thanks to High 5 gels, we shall see as the season progresses. But it is positive that improvements have occurred since taking high 5.
